[Maths Class Notes] on Multiples of 4 Pdf for Exam

The basic Multiple definitions are Multiple. In Math, the meaning of a Multiple is the product result of multiplying one Number by another.

For children, we can define Multiple as a Number composed of more than one. It is the many copies of the same Number done simply and shortly. In simple words, the many copies of the same Number are Multiples.

Multiple of 4

A Multiple of 4 is any Number that is writable in the 4n form where n is an Integer. A Multiple is a result of multiplying an Integer (not a Fraction) by one Number.

A Multiple of a Number is a certain Number that results when multiplying that Number. 12 is, for instance, a Multiple of 4. Multiplying 4 by 3 means you get 12. The Mathematical definition offers “A whole Number that can be divided by another whole Number without a residual.” Whole Numbers in general use, specify “a Fraction’s denominator is a Multiple of 4.”

Multiple Numbers play an important part in our everyday lives. That is the foundation of Mathematical calculations. Let’s just say you go to a restaurant with your friend. You have your lunch there every fourth day, and your friend has his lunch every sixth day so how many days do you meet again for lunch at the same restaurant?

The answer is 12. It is truly interesting how we got this answer. This is the Multiple magic of what we use in our daily lives. These calculations ease our day-to-day life with simple calculations and effective outcomes. So let’s learn the basics of Numbers Multiple.

Multiple is an outcome that we get after multiplying one Number with another Number. For example; if we multiply 5 by 5 you will get 25. Though defining Multiple in Mathematics has a manifold but for explaining to the students it can be defined as a Number that we get when we multiply one whole Number with another whole Number.

In Mathematics Multiple of 4 is the Number that answers 0 when it is divided by 4. In other words, the Multiple of 4 is the product of 4 with a Natural Number. In addition to this, if we multiply 4 by 4, we will get an answer 16. Hence 16 is the Multiple of 4.

Some of the more examples of 4 are 4, 8, 12, and 20, and so on. Thus all those Numbers which can be divided or the solutions of 4 are Multiples of 4.

Concept of Multiple of 4:

Whichever Number can be articulated in the form of 4n where n is an Integer is a Multiple of 4. In other words, the Multiples of 4 are the Numbers that leave no remainder (i.e. Remainder = 0), when it is divided by 4.  Moreover; Multiples can also be obtained through the repeated addition of a Number as many times as required. For example, the first five Multiples of 4 can be written as:

4 × 1 = 4

4 × 2 = 8 or 4 + 4 = 8 {here 4 are added for twice}

4 × 3 = 12 or 4 + 4 + 4 = 12 {here 4 is added for thrice}

4 × 4 = 16 or 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 16

4 × 5 = 20 or 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 20

In the same way, we can write numerous Multiples of 4.

Properties of Multiple of 4:

The properties of Multiples of 4 will give more clarity about Multiples of 4.  Here are some of the properties of Multiples of 4 which will tell students about the nature of Multiples.

Unlike every Number 4 is a Multiple of 1 eg; 4*1=4.

Each and every Number of Multiple of 4 will be greater than or equal to the Number 4.

As we know the Multiple of Numbers is infinite therefore 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, etc. are the infinite Number of 4.
